Egret

Egret
Description: It took about 30 minutes to land this shot . Ive made up my own way of approaching birds which is much better than hiding in a tent sweating your butt off . Its really simple and works well on most birds . It's like how a cat hunts . Wait patently move towards your mark when hes distracted. In this case greenbacks were more important to the egret . I slowly inched my way toward him every time he would look away. . I have been 4ft from birds doing this . And have saved thousands in photo equipment . Most birding photographers use huge telescoping lenses that take all the fun out of it . Plus I don't have 3-5 grand to spare anyway . I only use this approach on the beach . I crawled on my stomach to get this shot . The birds where so used to me they would land all around me . pretty cool I thought . I'm a rookie so any tips would be Highly appreciated . I'll share as much as I know as I go :) Heres the link to the location where I found this egret hunting .
